The ePortfolio Scholars Program

The ePortfolio Scholars Program now accepts students in two tracks: the Continuing and Graduating ePortfolio Scholars. Each track will have a particular focus that will allow students to focus on key areas of the core ePortfolio. Students who participate in the program will re-think and revise their work and work on key areas that haven't yet been completed and that will advance their learning experience. By the end of the program, students will have successfully completed an outstanding ePortfolio.

This track is open to all students who have completed the First Year seminar course in the previous two semesters. This track will focus on post-FYS content in the core ePortfolio. Over the course of the program, students will have an opportunity to work closely with a Peer Advisor in developing key advisement areas, such as the Student Success Plan (SSP) section, that will help students keep building their core ePortfolios.

Ideal ePortfolios considered for Track 1 will:

  • Have at least the following pages complete: About Me, Understanding Myself, Planning My Degree, College Resources, and the First Year Seminar course pages (if additional pages are complete, that's a plus)

  • Have basic design customization (background images) across all pages

  • Have written text with minimal grammatical errors

  • Have images and media that represent the student's major and/or interests

This track is open to all students who are near the graduation point. Students with more than 45 credits are eligible to be part of this cohort. Over the course of the program, students will focus on further developing and polishing their showcase ePortfolios while looking at key areas such as transfer and career readiness content.

Students' ePortfolios considered for Track 2 will:

  • Have the following pages complete: About Me, Understanding Myself, Planning My Degree, Career Planning, College Resources, and the First Year Seminar course pages

  • Have other coursework pages complete that represent work in and outside the major including assignments and projects

  • Have design customization (background images) across all pages

  • Have written text with minimal grammatical errors

  • Have images and media that represent the student's major and/or interests

The ePortfolio Scholars program participants will receive a certificate of completion, recognition as an ePortfolio Scholar and awards that include a stipend that can range from $100 to $500 to Scholars who attend all the workshops and complete their ePortfolios with an evaluation higher than satisfactory. Also, Scholars' ePortfolios will be published and highlighted on the ePortfolio website.
