The ePortfolio team at LaGuardia is comprised of nine skillful, energetic, fun, and focused professionals. Comprised of LaGuardia graduates, the ePortfolio team supports all ePortfolio developments and projects at the College. The team is divided into two main areas: lead faculty support and lead student support. Within each area, the ePortfolio team works closely with a range of individuals to help them better understand, adopt, and implement the ePortfolio pedagogy.

Pablo has been working at the Center for Teaching and Learning since early 2010. Wearing different hats, Pablo has worked directly with students teaching them how to develop ePortfolios, with the ePortfolio Scholars program, with faculty from across disciplines, and with peer mentors as well. Most recently, Pablo has led multiple ePortfolio and Capstone professional development seminars for faculty from across the College. Currently, Pablo is a pursuing a doctoral degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Thomas, a LaGuardia Community College graduate, majored in New Media Technology. Currently, he is majoring in Media Studies at Hunter College. He has worked for the Center for Teaching and Learning since 2008. As a student, he interned as a Student Technology Mentor (STM), became an ePortfolio Consultant, and is currently the ePortfolio Program Manager. Thomas has worked directly with and provided technical support for both students and faculty, assisting them in the creation of ePortfolios and various digital media projects. Additionally, he has provided technical support for several programs such as ePortfolio Scholars, the First Year Seminar, Capstone, and Mini-Grants. He is also the point-person for technical support with our ePortfolio system.

Oscar is a former LaGuardia Community College student and Hunter College graduate, who has worked in various roles at the Center for Teaching and Learning since mid-2005. He has worked with students in capstone courses develop their ePortfolios, as well as facilitating ePortfolio workshops for both students and faculty. He is currently leading the ePortfolio Scholars program, which provides students the opportunity to further develop their professional ePortfolio, as well as providing support to the center in various aspects of ePortfolio.

Mutaz is a LaGuardia Community College graduate. While pursuing his Associate’s Degree, he started working for the Center for Teaching and Learning. He has worked with both faculty and students, helping them in the use of instructional technologies such as Blackboard and ePortfolio. Additionally, he has worked with faculty from different disciplines; assisting them in the creation of media and digital projects. Prior to graduating from Brooklyn College, he joined the ePortfolio team at the Center for Teaching and Learning and became an ePortfolio Consultant. Currently, Mutaz continues to help guide faculty and students in the use of various instructional technologies.

Lucia is a senior at City College of New York where she is majoring in philosophy. She has been working at the Center for Teaching and Learning since 2016. Throughout her time at the Center she has played a role in facilitating Capstone Studio Hour classes, as well as ePortfolio Scholars classes. After her graduation, she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in philosophy and eventually become a professor and researcher in the field. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, dancing, and helping students to navigate college and the world of academia.

Frehiwot is an alumni of LaGuardia Community College and graduate of Baruch College, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. She has been working for the Center for Teaching and Learning since 2014, but has been involved with ePortfolio since 2009 from working in the Business and Technology Department. In both her roles at LAGCC, Frehiwot has helped students and faculty alike develop ePortfolios by leading workshops and Capstone Studio Hours. Through her work with ePortfolio, Frehiwot, always strives to have a positive and supportive impact on the lives of students and faculty of LAGCC.

Maritza, as a former Student Success Mentor (SSM) and current e-Portfolio Consultant, has worked closely with students, faculty, and the Digication platform. Maritza's well-rounded experience allows her to support both students and faculty with ePortfolio, technical support, as well as facilitation of workshops. As part of our team Maritza is a proud graduate of LaGuardia College and a current student AT John Jay College; majoring in Law and Society with a minor in Spanish Legal Translation and Interpretation.

Ginny, a former LaGuardia Community College student, is currently majoring in Communications Design at Queens College with the goal of becoming an Art Director. She has been with the Center for Teaching and Learning since 2016. Ginny, starting off as a Student Technology Mentor (STM), and later an Instructional Design Assistant (IDA). She is now working as an ePortfolio Consultant, where she works one-on-one with students, assisting with technical issues and ePortfolio, conducting workshops, and developing materials for faculty/ students. As part of our marketing team, Ginny's background in design plays an important role in the development of promotional materials for the ePortfolio program.

She has been working for the Center for Teaching and Learning since 2015. Starting off as a Student Technology Mentor (STM), Marwa became an Instructional Design Assistant (IDA) and is currently an ePortfolio Consultant where she works one-on-one with students assisting with technical issues and ePortfolio, conducting workshops, and developing materials for faculty/students. As part of the marketing team, Marwa manages our social media sites and develops flyers for events.
